Tim Curry

tim curry 01 Tim started playing guitar when he was 14 years old, or more accurately his mum dragged him out of the house to guitar lessons because she couldn’t get him off his brand new Spectrum Sinclair computer!

It wasn’t long before he was inspired both by a patient guitar teacher and his dad’s collection of Pink Floyd records to start searching out great guitarists like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, BB King, Gary Moore, and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

After a few years wandering in between jobs and looking for bands, Tim placed an advert in the Bucks local paper desperate to find a band that shared his love of great rock and soul. It was a phone call from band founder Joe Kelly that led to Tim joining the newly formed WGTD as their guitarist and he stayed with them until 2003 and the birth of his daughter, Ellie. After a break of nearly 12 years, Tim rejoined the band to fill in for a couple of gigs and it wasn’t long before he was delighted to be asked to join on a permanent basis. Since then he has also played in a number of other bands and regularly deps for bands of all kinds from punk to disco and everywhere between.

Aside from providing great guitar chops for WGTD, his greatest love remains heart-pumping, foot-stomping rock, soul and blues!
